Connect with us!

In 2005, Tom Truitt published the first Monhegan Connections to help all of us in matching names with faces. Joanne Scott has granted the Monhegan Associates, Inc. full copyright privileges. Hopefully, the next edition will be available in the spring of 2016.

Perhaps we will capture your photo at a meeting or along the road but we’d also like to have your photos. Periodically, we will have someone on the church lawn for an hour once during the week to take photos. A sign will be posted regarding the date & time.

If you would like to assist in taking photos, please contact Eileen Cameron @ 594-8040 or by e-mail at or Clare (

Outreach and shop!

Lots to read to enjoy your fall!

The new Fall 2014 Outreach memo is HERE! You’ll enjoy reading about our Founder, Ted Edison, and seeing the pictures from the Quadricentennial, as well as hearing about the activities of the Trails committee and the Ecology happenings.

And the Calendar has been reduced to $15 HERE! While you’re at it pick up a Nature Guide.  And BECOME A MEMBER to stay in touch for more information about Monhegan.

The August House Tour

The July historic house tour, of the south end of Monhegan, was a great success. Come join us on August 8, 1-4 pm for a tour of historic houses of the north end of the island. Tickets available at the Lupine Gallery.

New MAI memo!

Here’s your Monhegan Island memo for the fall, about the activities in the past few months. Dede Little-Werbe has retired, but our able young intern, Joy Longfellow, has taken over with assists from many others – a note from Lucia Miller, many pictures from Bob Bartels, etc. Fred Grey provides his trail report and Emily Morse the report of the Ecology Committee. This file was emailed to those who were on Dede’s list, so if you’re seeing this and you didn’t get it through email, contact and we’ll add you to the list.
