Friday Morning volunteers

Trails: Join Fred Grey on Friday mornings 9 am-12 pm for routine trail maintenance. Meet at the tool shed, past the trail 6 trail head. Gloves and tools are provided. If you’ll be on the island for two weeks or more consider participating in our Adopt-A-Trail program. Call Fred Grey for more information at (207) 596-6729. Or when you get to the island, look for opportunities to volunteer posted on the Rope Shed or the Monhegan Associates roadside cart.

Invasive Species Management: Join Penny Smith in helping to control invasive species in the wildlands. Meet at the tool shed (past the trail 6 trailhead) at 8:30am on Wednesday mornings.

If you are interested in joining a committee or serving the organization in a more long-term capacity, please get in touch by email, info@monheganassociates.org.

There are many groups who come out faithfully each year, spending the day or a week clearing invasives and working on the trails.  The Sierra Club group has been coming out now for many years. Boy Scout groups and camp groups from around the State of Maine are frequent visitors, as are people from the Outward Bound program.
